One yearish later

Ava hiking.
Making faces with Dad.
Snuck into the fridge for some treats.
Eating birthday cupcakes and riding her new radioflyer.

Well, I am not so good at this blogging. I will get better. A lot has happened over the last 11 months. Ava turned 2 about two weeks ago. She is the coolest kid! I am amazed at how much I love her. We are also expecting number 2 in September. I am excited to meet this baby. Ava is so great and we feel so lucky that we are just ecstatic about having another cool little person to hang out with. I feel good. A little bigger a little sooner this time around... I think. You forget things.
Brian is at the end of his second year of his Ph.D. program. He is the smartest person I will ever know. He is very impressive to everyone he meets. I am very proud of him. I actually got accepted into an intense nursing program here. I am not going to attend though because of the upcoming kiddo. The program is just way too intense to try to juggle it all. Another time.
Flagstaff is great. We love the weather and the activities. We are making some good friends here. Who knows how long we will be here. I found out this Spring I have allergies here. I have never had allergies before so it's a little disturbing. I really feel for people who have allergies now. I used to think the poor people just weren't breast fed. Well, I know that's not true.
Tomorrow is my last day of Graduate School for now. I will go back eventually. I am looking forward to the free time. Sometimes I wonder what the hell I was thinking in the first place. My ambition always gets the best of me.

The Cardalls

In an attempt to stay connected.......we shall blog!
We are all doing great. Brian is in his element at school. He is doing some great stuff and meeting a lot of really amazing scholars. Ava is walking like she has done it all her life. She is such a cool little girl. She is very daring. She loves to stand on top of everything. I am amazed at how she manages to make her way on top of things. She is starting to kinda talk. Every time I come home from work Brian claims she can say new words like "Diaper", "Dolphin", "Elephant". I haven't heard these words yet but Brian claims it is because I "don't believe". I am working at New Frontiers, the local health food store. I like it. Its really laid back and I really enjoy helping people. I am awaiting a Graduate School acceptance letter.
We are really starting to enjoy Flagstaff a lot more. The summer is so nice and mild. There are an array of fun activities for us to do. We live next to forest service access and a lot of bike trails. We recently purchased a bike trailer/jogger/stroller. We love it. It isn't a Chariot. I really wanted a Chariot but I chose to keep my right kidney. We went with the Croozer. Its actually a really great deal for all the features. It doesn't come with the ski kit but thats okay because if I am going skiing it will be with speed and some vertical. We will have Ava on skis as soon as she can manage.
If anyone wants to visit us I highly encourage it. We have an extra room. Tons of baby gear and the bike trailer is a two seater. You won't need to bring anything. So, come visit!!!!
